I did not give an update on week 3 because I was down with a flu and that threw me off my journey but now am back with the update. I have completed the  250Km run with run with April and  I came second in my group, it was great running for a competition it kept me motivated and on track because I was accountable to a group of people.

I did not like cooking growing up but over the years I began to enjoy cooking and exploring different aspects of cooking. I am currently on week 3 but am here to share my journal logs for week 2. I have never been a slim person, I was a fat baby,bigger than my peers through out primary and secondary school so being plus size does not come as a shocker to me. My motive for doing this is health related, I want to be as healthy as I can be. Next week I’ll talk about self image and how it has affected my journey.

I recently resumed my weight loss journey again and this time am trying a more holistic approach to my weight loss #thickfit .  I joined a Nike challenge organized by @fitmrsfats on instagram, we are expected to run 250km in 15 weeks. The challenge ends on the 20th of December, unfortunately no one can join the challenge now. The great news is I am leading the challenge right now and everyday i get on that treadmill i feel so good about it.

The other day I was having a conversation about men with a friends mum and we started discussing marriage and wife battery. I could not understand why women would choose to stay in a relationship that caused them so much physical, emotional and even mental pain.

I like to tell people that I would rather be single and happy than to be married and unhappy.  I am not one to measure a woman’s success by her marital status but then the average African society measures a woman’s success by her marital status which I find strange.
